Advancing Research Through Guidance and Collaboration
The Academy of Ethicality Research Guidance Team supports researchers, educators and practitioner-scholars who are exploring ethics, ethicality and professional practice. Drawing on both academic and professional expertise, the team provides a collaborative environment where ideas can be refined, methodologies strengthened and ethical considerations explored throughout the research journey through guidance, mentorship and thoughtful partnership. Whether undertaking empirical, theoretical or practice-based inquiry, researchers are encouraged to engage with the team as a source of thoughtful guidance, critical reflection and professional dialogue.

Our Purpose
- The Research Guidance Team exists to:
- encourage high-quality research into ethics and ethicality
- support researchers throughout the research process
- foster collaboration across professions and disciplines
- bridge academic research with professional practice
- contribute to the advancement of ethical scholarship.
How We Support Researchers
Rather than acting as supervisors or research ethics committees, the Research Guidance Team provides collaborative guidance that may include:
Research design and methodological discussion, Critical reflection and constructive feedback, Ethical considerations within research projects, Practice-informed perspectives, Connections with researchers and practitioners, Opportunities for dissemination through the Academy’s wider ecosystem where appropriate.
Working Together
Every research partnership is different.
Some researchers may seek occasional discussion during the early stages of a project, while others may benefit from ongoing dialogue throughout the research process.
Where appropriate, collaborations may extend to conference presentations, publications or other scholarly activities. The nature of each partnership is developed collaboratively, with clear expectations and mutual respect.
Many of these partnerships begin with a single conversation.
